Instrument Wish List
We celebrated our 10 year anniversary last year, and due to the pandemic we weren’t able to have a big concert, party, or fundraiser. Which is disappointing, but our priority has been keeping everyone as safe and as healthy as possible.
This year, Kate is returning to work at the hospital part of the week, and working out of the new Brunswick office the rest of the week. It’s been fun setting up the new office, and thankfully after ten years we have most of the tools needed to practice music therapy. Some gear, however, wears out quickly (or disappears into pockets, accidentally, in various facilities).
If you’d like to support this work, there are a few things that we are missing or low on that we’d love support to purchase. They’re not expensive, but it’s been a rocky year and these add up over the years. The Brunswick space is hosting a rhythm group every Friday, and with over 40 attendees we need more tools!
These are available online, but to support local we suggest shopping local at The Drum Shop (Forest Avenue, Portland) and Buckdancer’s Choice (St. John Street, Portland) - or your local music store! Kate can pick them up in store if they’re pre-ordered, or you can have them shipped to:
Maine Music & Health, PO Box 514, South Freeport, ME 04078
THANK YOU for your continued support of music therapy in Maine!
Lollipop Drum Mallets 10” (these are the most washable type of mallet for hand drums and paddle drums)
Lemon Shakers (“when life gives you lemons..”)
Ukulele Picks (these are felt, which is great for nylon uke strings)
